Prevention Unit
Valley Mental Health provides prevention and education services throughout Tooele County. Programs, which are developed utilizing the Risk and Protective Factor model, and the best practices and programs developed by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. We aim to identify risks for substance abuse and violence through building healthy life skills and resiliency in children and families. Our prevention programming addresses specific needs of communities through school and family-based approaches. We promote healthy lifestyle choices through education, groups, activities, and community involvement.
