We offer a wide range of Therapy and Prevention groups to fill most every need. Some groups are given on an ongoing basis while others are given as needed. The groups that follow represent groups that we hold on a regular or semi-regular basis. We are always creating new groups to fill the changing needs of our community. An extensive listing and description of the specific groups that we offer under each of these categories follows.

We work in partnership with key agencies to provide excellent and affordable services to our community. Summit County contracts with Valley Mental Health to provide mental health and substance abuse services to its residents. Valley Mental Health has similar arrangements with Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. In addition, Valley Mental Health has contracts with the State Division of Substance Abuse, the State Division of Mental Health, Medicaid and Title XX (Mountainlands). Our current contract with Summit County runs throughout the year 2002. For more info regarding our contracts and funding sources contact 435-649-8347.

Prevention Programs
Valley Mental Health provides substance abuse and violence prevention services throughout Summit County. The Utah State endorsed Risk and Protective Factor model is the foundation for comprehensive and specific programs. Programs are designed to ameliorate identified risks and to build and support research based protective factors. Valley Mental Health's programs address the specific needs of the communities of Kamas, Coalville and Park City through community, school and family-based approaches. We promote healthy lifestyle choices through education, groups, activities and community involvement.
