Valley Mental Health Prevention Specialists assist and support the health department and local law enforcement in efforts of checking that retailers that sell tobacco products are in compliance. Tobacco compliance checks are done by the health department and local law enforcement officials. Valley Mental Health assists with the education of SYNAR, and refers individuals to the health department for smoking cessation courses. Also will refer for additional treatment needs regarding tobacco usage. Valley Mental Health Prevention Specialist(s) will assist and support efforts.
