The Ribbon Campaign is a community and school-based drug and violence prevention and education project. Drug and violence free messages are delivered through the local newspapers, on banners posted throughout Summit County, and in schools throughout the campaign. Exposure through creative messages on the school television network in each school will also be provided. Red and purple ribbons will distributed to all students and school personnel promoting drug and violence free life choices. This project promotes public awareness and involvement regarding substance use and abuse and violence. Valley Mental Health Prevention Specialists organize, distribute materials, and decorate for the community campaign, and assist and support all Summit County schools in this effort.
